Research Interests
Dr. Lin’s laboratory is currently involved in researches in the fields of enzyme technology, protein engineering, protein purification, and applied genetic engineering. In the filed of enzyme technology, Dr. Lin, in conjunction with colleagues in the Institute of Molecular biology, focuses on the development of novel enzymatic processes of production of chiral compounds for the synthesis of pharmaceutics. In the fields of protein engineering and protein purification, he is particular interested in developing novel processes for protein refolding from inclusion bodies and protein purification. In light of the significance of bacterial systems for the production of recombinant proteins, Dr. Lin is aiming at developing improved E. coli systems for protein expression via genetic engineering.
